Curatorial Work II
The pieces in this exhibition work individually to help narrate the role of portraiture in the landscape of society and the art world. Collectively, they widen the scope of portrait-making and examine the conceptual explorations of portraiture as a vehicle for ideas. Looking within ourselves as artists, viewers and people, and examining the complexities of ourselves and others not only incites dialogue in art, but in our daily lives as well.
Artists: Brian Donnelly, Lisa Berlin Jackson, Carlos Cazares, Jacob Gardner Merrill, and David Samuel Stern.
